BSF nabs seven Bangladeshis, two facilitators near int’l border

SHILLONG, Aug 11: In a well-planned operation on Saturday, BSF troops in collaboration with the Meghalaya Police, apprehended seven Bangladeshi nationals along with two Indian facilitators at a checkpoint near the international border.
In view of ongoing unrest in Bangladesh, BSF Meghalaya has assessed and heightened security along the Indo-Bangladesh border adopting a multi-tier domination strategy.
All the apprehended illegal Bangladeshi immigrants along with their Indian facilitators were handed over to the police for necessary legal action.
