76-year-old woman dies after pack of dogs attack her
BENGALURU, Aug 28: A 76-year-old retired teacher died after she was attacked by a pack of stray dogs while she was on her morning walk near her house here on Wednesday, police said.According to the police, Rajdulari Sinha was suddenly attacked by at least 10-12 dogs in the playground at Air Force East 7th Residential Camp in Jalahalli around 6.30 am.A case of unnatural death report has been filed. A social media user, who claimed to have witnessed the incident stated, “Its a tragic scene in the morning itself. Dozen of stray dogs attack a lady. I shouted, and my family joined me, until a gentleman comes the dogs attacked. Jalahalli Airforce playground, Vidyaranyapura. I am guilty that I couldnt help her because of this wall.”“I was the helpless eyewitness. Due to their big wall, I couldnt save her. I shouted and called some people and they took her to hospital, but no use,” he added. (PTI)
Bodies of missing woman, her two children found in well
SEONI, (MP) Aug 28: The bodies of a woman and her two children were found in a well thirteen days after they went missing in MP’s Seoni district, police said on Wednesday.It was suspected that the woman committed suicide, said an official.Rajkumari Dhurve (28), her son Rudransh (5) and daughter Sanya (3) went missing from Bisawadi village on August 14.Their bodies were found in a well in the fields near the village on Tuesday. Prima facie the woman appeared to have committed suicide by jumping in the well with the children following a dispute with her farmer husband over money.The couple were married for seven years, said the official, adding that further investigation was underway. 13-year-old gangraped in Bareilly, commits suicide
BAREILLY, Aug 28: A 13-year-old girl died by self-immolation a day after she was allegedly gang-raped at a sugarcane field, police said on Wednesday.The incident occurred at the village in the Bhojipura area here on Monday.He told the police that his daughter had gone to the field to dry clothes when two men — Ankit and Pankaj — allegedly caught her, dragged her to a sugarcane field and gang-raped her.The accused fled after the girl’s sister reached there on hearing her screams, according to the FIR.The father further told the police that his daughter immolated herself on Tuesday and was rushed to a hospital but she could not be saved.One accused has been arrested while hunt is on to nab the other.(PTI)
