HC grants govt 4 weeks to settle relocation issue

SHILLONG, Aug 30: The High Court of Meghalaya has granted the state government one month to settle the pending matter pertaining to the relocation of Harijan Colony residents.
Advocate General Amit Kumar submitted on behalf of the government that the negotiation or rather talks between the parties is still going on, and as such, some more time is required for the matter to be finally settled.
The court agreed to the prayer and fixed the next hearing after four weeks.
