Office-bearers
The Dorbar Shnong of Malki recently elected its new office-bearers for the year 2024-2027. The new office bearers include PK Sohtun and Bandara Warjri (Rangbah Shnong), Miquel Badwar (general secretary), Junestar Kharbuli (assistant secretary), Morgan Nongbri (treasurer), Bah Tumduh Khongwir (estate secretary), Phrangsngi Majaw (vigilance secretary), among others.
Holiday
The West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner has declared September 18 as local holiday on account of Unitarian Anniversary Day. In this regard, all state government offices, revenue and magisterial courts, banks and educational institutions in the district will remain closed on the aforesaid day.
