Pala silent on Rs 100-crore defamation suit

SHILLONG, Sep 13: MPCC chief Vincent H Pala has chosen to remain silent on the Rs 100-crore defamation case slapped against him by Deputy Chief Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar.
When contacted, Pala said he will address a press conference in Shillong to react to this defamation suit after consulting his lawyers.
It has been informed that the MPCC chief has mostly been camping in Delhi.
On September 4, Dhar issued a legal notice to Pala, seeking Rs 100 crore in damages and an unconditional apology for alleged criminal and civil defamation.
