The event saw the participation of 100 employees, including scientific, administrative, technical, and supporting staff, along with the Director of ICAR-NEH, Dr VK Mishra.
As part of the initiative, the participants planted 100 Agar (Aquilaria malaccensis) tree saplings at the institute’s Agroforestry Hill Top site.
The tree plantation event aimed to honour the invaluable contributions of mothers, both to their families and to environmental protection.
Speaking at the event, Dr Mishra emphasised the significance of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, reflecting on the pivotal role mothers play in nurturing both society and the environment. He described the planting of trees as a tribute to the mothers of all the employees, symbolising their selfless efforts and care.
