Meghalaya to host open table tennis tournament 2024

Shillong, Sep 20: The Laban Sports Club Table Tennis Academy is set to host the 3rd Meghalaya Open Table Tennis Cash Prize Tournament 2024 on October 4 and 5 at the Laban Sports Club Indoor Hall, located behind the Red Cross Hospital in Shillong.
The tournament offers a total cash prize of ₹1 lakh and will feature various categories for players across different age groups.
The categories include Under-13 Boys and Girls Singles (born on or after January 1, 2012), Under-15 Boys and Girls Singles (born on or after January 1, 2010), Men’s and Women’s Singles (open to all), Men’s Doubles (open to all), Veteran Men’s Singles (for players aged 45 years and above, born on or before January 1, 1979), and Veteran Men’s Doubles (for players aged 45 years and above, born on or before January 1, 1979). Veteran doubles partners will be decided by a lottery in front of the chief referee.
Players are invited to submit their entries via WhatsApp to the numbers 8787605291, 6909076082, or 9402508332. -The last date for entries is October 2, 2024.
All matches will follow the knockout format, adhering to the rules set by the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI). Interested participants can also scan a provided code for online registration
With a promising lineup of categories and a significant cash prize at stake, the 3rd Meghalaya Open Table Tennis Tournament is expected to attract talent from across the region. The event aims to promote table tennis at various levels.
