JOWAI, Sep 21: A coal-laden truck overturned on Saturday morning at Wahmynsoo, Mookyndur village, along the Shillong-Jowai road, precipitating a traffic halt that lasted for hours.
Police and traffic personnel quickly arrived at the scene to manage the situation and ease the frustrations of stranded commuters.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the accident.
As of 9:30 pm, traffic on the Shillong-Jowai road remained congested due to the incident.
