Shillong, Sep 22: Galaxy FC secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over 12 Daloi in the 8th Invitation Knockout Football Tournament, organised by Wahiajer SC, on Friday.
Ebor Bareh was the star for Galaxy, netting two early goals in the 12th and 18th minutes to give his team a 2-0 lead at half-time.
In the second half, 12 Daloi fought back as Punkhroo Laloo reduced the deficit in the 58th minute. However, Galaxy’s Nobleson Dhar struck in the 68th minute to restore their two-goal advantage.
Despite a late goal from Regal Pyrtuh in the 76th minute, which reignited hope for 12 Daloi, Galaxy FC managed to hold on and see out the match for a hard-fought win.
Ebor Bareh’s standout performance earned him the Player of the Match award.The tournament continues on Tuesday with YBSC Shella set to face CB Kharsati at 2:30 PM.
With Galaxy FC advancing to the next round, the competition heats up as teams vie for the coveted title in the 8th Wahiajer Knockout Football Tournament.
