Myngken Christian HS to play football in Paris

Shillong, Sep 26: Myngken Christian High School from Bhoirymbong, Ri Bhoi, which recently secured the runners-up position in the 63rd Subroto Cup International Football Tournament 2024, has been selected to represent India at the prestigious Indo-French Football Tournament in Paris this November.
Accompanying them on this international journey will be T.G. English School from Manipur, the champions of the Subroto Cup 2024 Sub Junior category. Both schools were chosen by the Subroto Cup Society, acknowledging their exceptional performances in the tournament.
The Indo-French Football Tournament, organized by the Indo-French Sports Association in collaboration with the Mairie de Malakoff, aims to provide a platform for emerging Indian football talent to compete internationally.
Set to be held at the Complexe Sportif Marcel-Cerdan in Paris, the event will feature 10 teams from India and France, promoting both competition and cultural exchange.
The winning team will earn a week-long training session with a professional football club, alongside prize money, a trophy, and the opportunity to be scouted, making this tournament a potentially life-changing experience for the young players.
Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma, extended his congratulations to Myngken Christian High School via social media, wishing them success as they prepare to represent the state and the country on an international stage.
This opportunity marks a significant milestone for the students of Myngken Christian High School, providing them with international exposure and the chance to showcase their talents on a global platform.
As they prepare for the tournament, the entire state of Meghalaya rallies behind them, hoping their journey in Paris will inspire future generations of footballers from the region.
