Larikynti Iangrai has been awarded PhD in Environmental Studies by the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, for her thesis Provisioning Ecosystem Services Emanating Community Forests and their Role in the Livelihoods of the People of East Khasi Hills district, Meghalaya’, which she completed under the supervision of Dr SS Chaturvedi. She is the daughter of Hilda Iangrai and (late) Armsingson Nongkynrih, and the wife of Khrawborlang Lyngdoh Nonglait. She is a resident of Lawsohtun Block 1, Shillong.
