SHILLONG, Oct 15: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will arrive in Shillong on Wednesday afternoon on a two-day visit.
Dhankhar, who is on his maiden visit to the state, will land at the EAC helipad at Upper Shillong at 12.25 pm.
He will attend a programme at the Convention Centre, Mawdiangdiang at 3 pm where he will lay the foundation stone of the Meghalaya Skill and Innovation Hub.
The Vice President will later visit the IT Park at New Shillong Township at 4.25 pm where he will meet Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and senior government officials.
The Vice President will be accorded a state reception at Raj Bhavan at 7.30 pm which will be followed by a cultural programme.
Next day, he will plant a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” programme at Raj Bhavan at 8.15 am before proceeding to Sohra where he is slated to visit Arwah Cave, Nohkalikai Falls and 7 Sisters Falls.
