MCA to host Tripura in historic Elite level match from today

Shillong, Oct 17: The Meghalaya Cricket Association is all set to host Tripura in Meghalaya’s first home match of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season from Friday. The match will begin at 8am and spectator seating is available at the ground.
This will be the first Elite Group level match that Shillong is playing host to in the prestigious first-class domestic cricket tournament.
This marks an achievement of another milestone by the MCA by qualifying for the Elite Group this season by virtue of the outstanding performance last season in the Plate Group, where Meghalaya were runners-up to Hyderabad.Meghalaya lost their first match of the season by an innings and 65 runs against Services in New Delhi a few days ago. Tripura’s first match was against Odisha in Agartala but this was abandoned without a ball bowled.
