College holds endowment lecture

SHILLONG, Oct 19: Women’s College, Shillong, held the Fifteenth Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Endowment Lecture on Thursday at its auditorium.
According to a statement, the event was attended by Chief Electoral Office Dr. BDR Tiwari as the chief guest, who highlighted Vidyasagar’s lasting impact as an educator, social reformer, writer and philanthropist.
The lecture, titled ‘Idea of India: Gandhi and the RSS’, was delivered by Prof. Sangit Ragi from Delhi University.
In his address, Prof. Ragi examined the concept of India through the comparative perspectives of Gandhi and the RSS, offering insightful analysis based on his expertise in political science and ethnic conflicts.
