The Meghalaya State Chess Team, led by captain Bobby Lyngdoh and comprising Rijied Katrai, Barbith M. Sangma, Silkam Sangma, and Krusen D. Shira, secured 3rd place at the 1st North-East Team Chess Championship 2024 in Sikkim (October 20-23), winning a cash prize of ₹1 lakh.
