Three women among 4 nabbed for possessing heroin in city

SHILLONG, Oct 23: The Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) of East Khasi Hills, on Tuesday, apprehended four persons including three women after heroin was recovered from their possession near Umsohsun under Sadar police station.
The apprehended persons have been identified as Altima Khatun (27), Gulasha Begum (30) and Jumila Khatun (28), besides 25-year-old Suraj Masih.
The ANTF team seized two soap boxes containing suspected heroin weighing 19.4 grams, five mobile phones, and cash worth Rs 81,610.
In this connection, a case has been registered at Sadar PS under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and investigation of the case is in progress.
