Youth exchange prog in EJH stresses on leadership

KHLIEHRIAT, Oct 24: A two-day youth exchange programme, themed ‘Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders,’ successfully concluded at the Khliehriat West Community Hall on Thursday. Organized by the District Sports Officer’s office, the event aimed to foster leadership and showcase local talent through a series of competitions and activities. Sub-Divisional Officer Aditya Verma served as the chief guest for the closing ceremony.
The programme featured a variety of competitions, including folk songs, dances, a science exhibition, story writing, quizzes, and painting, all designed to highlight the talents of the district’s youth.
Wanda Phi Pala from Jaintia Eastern College won first place in both the Story Writing and Poetry Writing competitions. In the Declamation competition, Juliana Lyngdoh, also from Jaintia Eastern College, secured the top spot. The painting competition was won by Bright Star Dkhar from Don Bosco College, while Jaintia Eastern College triumphed in the Quiz competition.
