SHILLONG, Nov 1: The Cherry Blossom Festival has surprised fans with an exciting lineup change — Akon, initially scheduled to perform on November 16, will now take the stage on November 15 due to adjustments in his Asia tour.
Meanwhile, festival organisers have announced that Grammy-winning pop group Clean Bandit will headline Day 2.
This will be Clean Bandit’s debut in India, promising to elevate the festival experience.
With this addition, ticket holders can enjoy an enhanced line-up without any increase in ticket prices.
Organised by Meghalaya Tourism in collaboration with Rockski EMG, the Cherry Blossom Festival this year will also feature a unique collaboration with TRTL Tokyo, making Japan the official country partner.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a dedicated zone showcasing Japan’s rich and diverse culture, adding an international flavour to the much-awaited event.
