Mud-riddled road (a portion seen in the picture) from Chokpot to Asakgre in South Garo Hills has led to severe hardships to people living in Chokpot Civil Sub Division and its surrounding areas, particularly during medical emergencies. Farmers and businessmen from the area too face great ordeals in transporting their goods to the market, especially during the rainy season. The Gasuapara unit of the Association for Democracy and Empowerment has urged the government to repair the road at the earliest.
