Misled by GPS car falls into river, 3 killed
BAREILLY, Nov 24: Three people were killed when their car fell into the Ramganga River from an under-construction bridge here on Sunday.The accident occurred around 10 am on the Khalpur-Dataganj road when the victims were travelling from Bareilly to Dataganj in the Badaun district.The car, being navigated using GPS, crashed through a damaged section of the bridge.“Earlier this year, floods had caused the front portion of the bridge to collapse into the river, but this change had not been updated in the GPS. As a result, the driver was misled and did not realize the bridge was unsafe,” an official said.“In addition, the absence of safety barriers or warning signs on the under-construction bridge compounded the danger, leading to the fatal accident,”.The victims, whose identities are yet to be confirmed, were travelling at high speed when their car fell into the river. Gujarat man held for impersonating IAS officer
AHMEDABAD, Nov 24: Police have arrested a 29-year-old man who allegedly posed as an IAS officer and used fake letters claiming to be from various government departments to cheat people.Mehul Shah, an engineer who manages two schools in Gujarat is accused of making lakhs of rupees with bogus documents and false claims, police said. Posing as a top government official, the accused contacted Pratik Shah, who runs a car rental business, and asked him to provide a vehicle fixed with a siren and curtains. However, he did not pay the rent. The accused identified himself as a director in the revenue department and an IAS officer. He produced bogus letters claiming to be from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. Despite holding no official position in the state or central government, he used fake work permits and NOCs to cheat people of lakhs of rupees. (PTI)
Man kills live-in partner, sets body on fire
SONIPAT, Nov 24: A married businessman was arrested for stabbing his live-in partner and school-time love in Haryana’s Sonipat and setting her body on fire over a domestic dispute. Upkar killed Sarita, who had been living with him for six years after separating from her husband and burnt the entire house to give it the shape of a fire accident, police said.Upkar’s wife was aware of his live-in relationship, while Sarita had divorced her husband whom she married in 2004. Both of them were living in for six years.Upkar, fell into the police net after the forensic examination of the body of Sarita revealed murder due to stabbing before burns. (IANS)

According to the available information, the customer bought the Ola electric scooter a month ago and started having problems soon after.
