RESUBELPARA, Nov 26: A Judicial Magistrate from North Garo Hills has convicted one Tapon R Marak of sexually assaulting a woman.
As per the available information, a case was filed against Marak on Feb 20, 2019, for his alleged involvement in a case pertaining to the sexual assault of a woman. He was subsequently arrested.
Marak was convicted under section 354/354B/323 of the IPC and will serve five years of simple imprisonment.
