Probe panel gets 15-day extension

SHILLONG, Nov 29: The two-member committee consisting of former UGC Chairman DP Singh and former Vice Chancellor of Assam University Dilip Chandra Nath has been given a 15-day extension by the Ministry of Education to submit its inquiry report into the allegations of mismanagement and administrative failures in North-Eastern Hill University.
The two-member committee was scheduled to submit its report on Friday.
In a letter addressed to Chairman of the Inquiry Committee DP Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, DK Himanshu said the committee had requested for extension of 15 days to submit its report which has been granted by the competent authority.
