M’laya Roll Ball team makes waves

SHILLONG, Dec 2: The Meghalaya Under-17 Roll Ball team created a stir at the 2nd Junior East Zone National Roll Ball Championship 2024, held in Guwahati, Assam from November 30 to December 1, 2024.
Placed in the challenging Pool A, Meghalaya faced tough teams in the competition, including hosts Assam.
The team’s impressive performance included a thrilling win against Bihar, a nail-biting draw with Arunachal Pradesh, and a closely contested loss to Assam.
Star player and captain Dawanme George Chyrmang stole the show with his incredible skills, scoring the highest number of goals (7) for Meghalaya. He also scored the fastest goal of the tournament (within 10 seconds).
The team, however, narrowly missed advancing to the semifinals.
