Dhaka, Dec 3: Bangladesh has expressed interest in hosting India’s matches during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is expected to be held under a hybrid model. While Pakistan remains the official host, India’s reluctance to play in Pakistan has necessitated alternative venues for their matches.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has stepped forward with the offer, adding a new twist to the tournament’s complex hosting arrangements.
According to a report from Prothom Alo, BCB president Faruque Ahmed recently discussed the possibility with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. During the conversation, Naqvi sought Bangladesh’s support for the tournament, to which Faruque expressed interest in hosting India’s matches.
Speaking to Prothom Alo, Faruque stated: “I can’t comment on this right now, but yes, some efforts will be made.” (Agencies)
