NPP releases first list of candidates for KHADC & JHADC polls

SHILLONG, Dec 6: National People’s Party (NPP) working president, Hamletson Dohling, on Friday announced the party’s first list of candidates for the upcoming elections to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC). The list included 18 candidates for the KHADC and 20 for the JHADC.
For the KHADC, the list features prominent names such as KHADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pyniaid Sing Syiem, Grace Mary Kharpuri from Nongskhen, Macdalyne S Mawlong from Umsning, Rangkynsai Kharbuki from Umroi, Alvin K from Mawsynram, Fantin J Lakadong from Laitumkhrah-Malki, Lamphrang Blah from Mawphlang-Diengiei, Batskhem Ryntathiang from Mairang-Nongkhlaw, Bah Carnes Sohshang from Mawkyrwat, Donevan Kharwanlang from Sohra and Rona Khymdeit from Nongpoh. Former Rambrai-Jyrngam MLA Kimfa S Marbaniang will contest in place of sitting MDC Bajop Pyngrope.
Similarly, for the elections to the JHADC, the list includes Holando Lamin from War Central, Het Pohthmi from War West, Lakhon Dkhar from Amwi-Khliehtyrshi, Ailad Bhoi from Mukhla-Ummulong, Thombor Shiwat from Moodop-Umladang, Suiam from Moodymmai-Nongkhroh, Eneningstar Teron from Mynso-Nongjngi, Rudaioo Tang from Shilliang-Myntang, Aiborlang Shadap from Barato-Mukroh, Sankey Shangpung from Bataw-Lakadong, Jesse Phasmon Dkhar from Musniang-Rngad and Hambertus Nongtdu from Sutnga-Nongkhlieh.
