World Human Rights Day observed in SGH

TURA, Dec 10: The District Legal Services Authority South Garo Hills in collaboration with the office of the Superintendent of Police South Garo Hills observed World Human Rights Day at District and Session Court Baghmara on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police Shailendra Bamaniya while pointing out that about 95% of the people in South Garo Hills do not wear helmets while riding a two-wheeler and do not bother to wear a seat belt while driving, he said that people should be made aware of the importance of human rights, and the Motor Vehicles Act.
District & Session Judge F S Sangma said, ‘Rights can be respected only if we respect somebody else’s right”. He appreciated the MLO9 Bikers for partnering with them in spreading the message about Human Rights.
