SHILLONG, Dec 11: A mesmerising drone show enthralled the crowd ahead of Bryan Adams’ highly anticipated maiden concert in Shillong on Monday evening.
Organised by one of the event sponsors, the synchronised aerial display perfectly set the stage for the Canadian pop and rock legend’s performance, leaving attendees in awe.
The drone light show added to the magic of the evening, seamlessly blending with Bryan Adams’ iconic hits like Summer of ’69, creating a stunning visual and musical experience.
Shillong came alive under the illuminated sky as fans revelled in the electrifying atmosphere.
The concert, organised by Envision and Opus Productions, drew an enormous crowd from across the region, making it a landmark event for Shillong’s cultural scene.
To manage the turnout and protect the venue’s renowned football turf, the stadium management covered the field with protective plastic sheeting.
This allowed fans to gather close to the stage and dance freely without causing damage.
The evening concluded with a spectacular fireworks display, complementing the earlier drone performance. These visual spectacles delighted the audience, many of whom captured and shared the unforgettable moments online.
Despite the concert’s success, some logistical issues were noted. Attendees seated at the back of the stadium faced challenges viewing the stage due to the relatively small screens, prompting calls for larger displays at future events.
Additionally, the limited number of food stalls led to long queues, forcing some concertgoers to leave late at night to find food at nearby locations, including Khyndai Lad.
Overall, the event was a resounding success, cementing Shillong’s reputation as a vibrant cultural hub capable of hosting world-class performances.
