TURA, Dec 27: The Public Health Engineering (PHE) department, Tura Subdivision, has filed a police complaint against an upcoming fuel station after its construction activities reportedly caused significant damage to the main water supply pipeline, disrupting water supply across large parts of the town.
In the FIR filed by a Junior Engineer (JE) of the department with the Chandmary Beat House on Friday, it was alleged that excessive dumping of excavated earth from the construction site, without prior notification to the PHE, resulted in severe damage to the pipeline. The department stated that this negligence has left many areas of Tura without water.
Meanwhile, the complainant has sought appropriate action against those responsible for the incident.
