Philanthropist receives Atal Award

SHILLONG, Dec 27: Renowned contractor and philanthropist from Shillong, Vikram Singhania, has been awarded the esteemed Atal Award by Union Minister of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal.
The award was presented to Singhania during the Eleventh National Atal Samman Samaroh and the musical Atal Gatha, held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The event took place at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, and was organised by the Atal Samman Samaroh Trust.
Singhania was recognised for his unwavering dedication to the development of Northeast India.
It is pertinent to note that Singhania has been an advocate of the social development of Meghalaya with his numerous community services.
