EKH cricket academy opens in Mawsynram

Mawsynram, Dec 28: The East Khasi Hills Cricket Academy was officially inaugurated on Saturday in Mawsynram in a ceremony attended by prominent local leaders and sports enthusiasts.
Lastborn Shangpliang, Rangbah Shnong of Mawsynram, and Hiamdor Rapsang, Adviser of the Mawsynram Sports Association, graced the occasion as special guests.
The inauguration ceremony saw Bah Lastborn Shangpliang cutting the ribbon, symbolically marking the launch of the Academy in both Mawsynram and Sohra.
The initiative aims to foster cricketing talent in the region and provide young athletes with the facilities and guidance needed to hone their skills.
The establishment of the Academy is expected to serve as a significant boost for cricket in these areas, promoting sports and encouraging youth participation in athletics at a grassroots level.
