SHILLONG, Jan 2: After a 12-day recess for Christmas and New Year celebrations, state government offices reopened on Thursday.
The offices had been closed since December 20 for the festive season. On the first working day, attendance was decent, but there was a noticeable lack of visitors.
Notably, no ministers attended their offices at the Secretariat on the reopening day, and the premises remained relatively quiet with minimal public activity.
