Power minister rules out need for load shedding in Meghalaya as of now

Shillong, Jan 8: Meghalaya Power Minister AT Mondal today ruled out any load shedding in the state for the time being.

The statement came as dry season is approaching fast and  Meghalaya often witnesses load shedding during this lean season.

Mondal said that there was no plan for load shedding as of now and if the need arose, the department would take a call

He also informed that the Government was going to develop pump storage projects in Meghalaya as the demand for power was increasing in the state
