WILLIAMNAGAR, Jan 14: At least 11 shops were gutted in a fire that apparently broke out due to a short circuit in Williamnagar, East Garo Hills, on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred opposite to the Williamnagar Civil Hospital in the heart of the town.
As per police sources, a call was made by residents to the Police Control Room (PCR) at around 5:30 am about a fire after which a team from the Fire and Emergency Services quickly responded to the fire.
