TURA, Jan 15: Social activist from Williamnagar, Nilbath Ch Marak, has sought action against an employee of the Office of the Registrar of Birth and Deaths in Williamnagar for alleged negligence of duty, as well as against the Medical Superintendent of the Williamnagar Civil Hospital for allegedly failing to act against the erring employee despite a complaint.
The demand for action against the two officials was sought by Marak in a complaint to the East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner.
In the complaint submitted on Wednesday, Marak recounted two instances where the employee was found unavailable at her station, much to the inconvenience of many people who had come to the office for their personal work.
A complaint in this regard was earlier filed with the medical superintendent of the town’s civil hospital, which, according to Marak, did not result in any action.
Marak, in his fresh complaint to the deputy commissioner, sought action against both officials for allegedly not discharging their duties.
