SHILLONG, Jan 17: A vibrant event on Friday marked National Start-up Day celebration at the BioNEST Incubation Centre, Bio Resources Development Centre (BRDC), uniting participants both in person and virtually. The event celebrated the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, highlighting the crucial role of start-ups in driving sustainable growth and development.
The programme featured a dedicated session where BRDC BioNEST incubatees and progressive farmers shared their inspiring journeys, challenges, and achievements in fostering innovative solutions across various sectors.
This exchange of experiences underscored the transformative power of innovation and technology in empowering local communities and advancing agriculture and biotechnology.
Awards of Appreciation and Certificates of Participation were presented to the incubatees and progressive farmers, recognising their unwavering dedication and notable contributions to their fields.
These accolades emphasised the significance of grassroots innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit. Adding to the occasion, Managing Director of the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Jitendra Kumar, virtually connected with BIRAC Incubation Centers across the country. Kumar shared insights into BIRAC’s efforts to nurture innovation ecosystems and empower start-ups through various support mechanisms. His address inspired participants to continue leveraging biotechnology and sustainable practices to drive societal and economic progress.
The event organisers expressed their gratitude to the participants and stakeholders for making the day a success. They reiterated their commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship to tackle pressing challenges and build a sustainable future.
