SHILLONG, Jan 19: The United Democratic Party (UDP) will release its third list of candidates on Monday.
The party is likely to release the names of candidates for several constituencies, including Sohiong, Mawkynrew and Nongstoin.
Recently, the UDP Sohiong committee had recently decided to recommend the name of sitting party MLA, Synsharlang Kupar Lyngdoh, as the candidate from the constituency.
So far, the UDP has declared 19 candidates for the KHADC and 16 candidates for the JHADC.
It may be noted that the UDP has decided not to enter into any understanding with the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP), which is part of the Regional Democratic Alliance (RDA), for the upcoming district council elections.
