SHILLONG, Jan 22: The state government has kick started the distribution of M-TABs to Class XI students during a function at the U Soso Tham Auditorium here on Wednesday.
Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, who was the chief guest of the programme, and other dignitaries, distributed MTABs to 15 students of different schools marking the first step of the distribution process to all schools in the district.
Addressing the gathering, Lyngdoh emphasised the significance of education and the role of technology in shaping the future. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the District School Education Officer, East Khasi Hills, followed by refreshments.
The welcome address was delivered by East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah, while Commissioner and Secretary, IT department, Pravin Bakshi, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of technology in education.
