Conviction
The court of Special Judge (POCSO) East Khasi Hills, Shillong, SG Momin, in a judgment dated January 20, convicted one Jistershop Mawnai, after finding him guilty in a case registered with Laban police station under Section 4 of the POCSO Act read with Section 506 IPC (Special POCSO case No. 19 of 2017). The court has sentenced him to 8 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000.
