19 candidates file papers in WKH

SHILLONG, Feb 3: A total number of 19 candidates have filed their nomination from the three constituencies of West Khasi Hills viz., Nongstoin, Rambrai-Jyrngam and Mawshynrut.
It may be noted that the filing of nominations concluded on Monday, while the scrutiny of all nominations also took place on the same day.
There are six candidates who filed nominations from Nongstoin constituency including Badariti Lyngdoh Nonglait (HSPDP), Dressar Marngar (NPP), G Ningstar Marthong (Congress), Juristman Iawphniaw (VPP), Demendar Lyngdoh (BJP) and Micheal Thongni (Independent).
From Rambrai-Jyrngam, seven candidates — Kimfa Sydney Marbaniang (NPP), KP Pangniang (HSPDP), Lurshai Kharbani (Independent), Bormanding Nonglang (Congress), Boney Lyngdoh (VPP) and Dominic Wahlang (BJP) — filed their papers.
Mawshynrut constituency saw nomination filing of Srally Rashir (HSPDP), Gardinal Sohshang (NPP), Kodang Rashir (Congress), Sranly Rongrin (UDP), Roland Mawsor (BJP), Birbor Riangtem (VPP) and Jomping Pangniang (Independent).
