Shillong, Feb 6: The 4th District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2024 saw Cricket Lovers and Cricket Smit secure impressive wins on Day 5.
In the thrilling game of cricket, Cricket Lovers defeated Saitsohpen by 40 runs. Batting first, Cricket Lovers posted 187/7 with Rohit Yadav scoring 51 (54). Saitsohpen fell short, managing 146/9 despite Banraplang Pyngrope’s quick 28 (15). Mehraf Hussain Sarkar took 2/22 for Cricket Lovers, while Yadav earned Player-of-the-Match honours.
In another match, Cricket Smit overcame Mawryngkneng CC by 5 wickets. Mawryngkneng were bowled out for 95, with Shankupar Kharbangar taking 4/20. In reply, Cricket Smit chased the target in 17.5 overs, led by Elbenroy Mawthoh’s 45 (44), earning him the Player-of-the-Match award.
