Over 250 locals in EJH village benefit from free health check-up

SHILLONG, Feb 9: More than 250 residents of Mynkre village in East Jaintia Hills availed the benefits of a free health and eye check-up initiative by Taj Cement called ‘The Honest Checkup’.
Held at the community hall of Mynkre village on Saturday, the health check-up camp focused on preventive healthcare, offering free health screenings and providing medicines for diagnosed conditions.
Villagers were also sensitised about the importance of regular check-ups and adopting preventive measures for a healthier lifestyle.
The eye check-up camp provided vision screenings, prescribed medicines, and spectacles for those requiring vision correction or eye protection, ensuring holistic support for the villagers.
