AHMEDABAD, Feb 12: Indian cricketing superstar Virat Kohli etched his name into the record books once again, becoming the fastest player to accumulate 16,000 international runs within the Asian subcontinent. Kohli achieved this historic milestone during India’s ODI clash against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Kohli reached this feat in just 340 innings, surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who had previously held the record with 353 innings. Kohli’s achievement also saw him join an elite group of cricketers, including Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara (360 innings), and Mahela Jayawardene (401 innings), as only the fourth player to cross this mark.
