Shillong, Feb 13: The 4th District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2024 saw dominant performances from Friends United CC and Hurdles Mawsynram on its 11th day of action.
In Match 21, Mawphlang CC opted to bat first, posting 102/9 in 20 overs, with Wandondor Jyrwa (32 off 33) top-scoring. Friends United’s Ernestin Swer (2/12 in 4 overs) led the bowling attack.
In reply, Friends United chased down the target in 11.2 overs, scoring 108/4, powered by Nangkiewdor Moore Don’s 42 off 30. Despite Banbhalang Nongsiej’s 3/20, Friends United won by six wickets, with Swer named Player-of-the -Match.In Match 22, Hurdles Mawsynram put up 197/9 in 20 overs, thanks to Jonathan Pariong’s 39 off 20. Mawmluh CC struggled in their chase, managing 109/8, with Aiban Tyngshain Rajee scoring 40 off 58. Namewanki Pakyntein’s 3/15 helped Hurdles Mawsynram secure an 88-run victory, earning him the Player-of-the-Match award.
