Man injured in Ri-Bhoi accident dies days later

NONGPOH, Feb 13: An unidentified man who was found severely injured near 12th Mile on National Highway-6 opposite Bharat Petroleum Pump on January 29 in Ri-Bhoi has succumbed to his injuries at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to Ri-Bhoi Superintendent of Police Vivekanand Singh Rathore, the injured individual was discovered at approximately 11:56 am and was immediately shifted to Sonapur Hospital in Assam for medical attention. Later, he was referred to GMCH, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
The Bhangagarh police station in Assam has conducted all necessary legal formalities regarding the case. Authorities have described the deceased as a medium-built male, approximately 5.5 feet tall, with black hair and black eyes. He had a swarthy complexion and was wearing a blue T-shirt, dark blue jeans, and blue boxer shorts at the time of discovery.
Efforts are under way to establish the identity of the deceased. Authorities have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
