New Delhi, Feb 15: A book, Freedom Fighters of Meghalaya During British Rule authored by Daniel Stone Lyngdoh, an advocate representing the Government of Meghalaya in the Supreme Court and published by Ri Khasi Book Agency, Shillong, was launched at Meghalaya House Conference Hall, New Delhi on Sunday. The event was inaugurated by IPS Robin Hibu, Director General of Police and President of Helping Hand NGO, as the chief guest. The author shared his journey of compiling the book, which took nearly three years of dedicated effort. He recounted the challenges he faced in gathering firsthand information from the immediate relatives of Meghalaya’s freedom fighters. The book results in personal interactions, factual research, and insightful arguments, making it a compelling read for history enthusiasts.
