Four Naxals, including three women, gunned down by police
BALAGHAT, (MP) Feb 19: Four Naxalites, including three women cadres, were killed on Wednesday in an encounter with the police in MP’s Balaghat district.The anti-Naxal Hawk Force of the state police and local police teams took part in the operation that took place in a forested area, the official said .Weapons were also recovered from the encounter site, police said.The gunbattle broke out in the morning.Identity of the slain Naxalites was yet to be ascertained, officials said. Three family members found dead in house in Kolkata
KOLKATA, Feb 19: Two women and a teenage girl of the same family were found dead inside their house, while three other members were injured as their car rammed into a metro pillar in Kolkata on Wednesday, police said.The three bodies were found in separate rooms on the third floor of the four-storey house in Tangra area, with the bodies of the two women bearing wrist injuries.Police discovered the bodies after coming to know about the deaths from the husband of one of the deceased. He was among the three injured in the car accident. The accident took place when the car collided with a metro pillar.Police were speaking to eyewitnesses to ascertain how the accident took place and were scanning CCTV footage. The eyewitnesses claimed that the car did not collide with any other vehicle and directly rammed into the pillar. Police were investigating a claim by one of the three seriously injured in the car accident that the entire family planned to die by suicide together.A probe was also underway into claims by neighbours that around 10 people had visited the residence of the family twice on Tuesday and whether the deaths are linked with these developments. 5 year old shot dead outside marriage venue
MORENA, (MP) Feb 19: In a shocking incident, a five-year-old boy was shot dead outside a marriage hall in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district, police said on Wednesday.Gappu Shakya, the victim, was attending the wedding of his maternal aunt in Jaura town along with his family when the incident took place on Tuesday night, said an official.As he was playing outside the wedding venue, a man on a motorbike shot him and fled, said police.The boy died on the way to hospital,.The accused was identified from the CCTV footage and a manhunt was on to nab him.
