SHILLONG, Feb 20: Raj Bhavan Shillong, on Thursday, hosted a grand celebration on the occasion of the Foundation Day of Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh. The event was graced by Governor CH Vijayashankar along with esteemed dignitaries, officials, and representatives from Mizoram Bhavan and Arunachal Bhavan.
A special video screening showcased the rich cultural heritage and historical journey of Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh. A series of enthralling cultural performances by students from Mizoram Bhavan and Arunachal Bhavan added a vibrant touch to the celebration.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Vijayashankar lauded the cultural diversity of the Northeast and emphasised the importance of preserving traditional heritage while embracing progress and development.
The Raj Bhavan also extended its best wishes to the people of Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh for continued prosperity and progress.
