24 youngsters represent state at Indonesia programme

SHILLONG, Feb 25: A group of 24 young people from Meghalaya are in Indonesia as part of the International Exposure Youth Programme, a global forum aimed at fostering cultural exchange, leadership, and collaboration. Selected from a competitive pool of 600 youths across 12 districts, these bright minds are representing the state in Jakarta and Bali.
A key highlight of their journey was a cultural exchange at Don Bosco Institute, Jakarta, where they interacted with Indonesian youths, sharing traditions, stories and perspectives.
Beyond meetings and discussions, the delegates have been on an exciting tour of Jakarta’s historical and cultural landmarks — visiting the National Museum, National Monument, Cathedral of Jakarta, bird sanctuary, Space Centre, and small-scale industries.
Accompanied by officials Bobby Wahlang (Youth Programme Coordinator), Darlene M Khonglam (Sports Officer HQ), and Barbira Momin (District Sports Officer), the delegation is experiencing a mix of cultural learning, leadership training and global networking.
