SHILLONG, Feb 25: The office of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) organised the ‘Kisan Samman Samaroh’ at Wahiajer, West Jaintia Hills, on Monday to welcome the release of the 19th instalment of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Progressive farmers who have excelled and led by example in the farming community were felicitated and awarded at the programme.
On the day, an exhibition was organised with focus on natural farming, organic farming and GI tagged products that were displayed.
Inputs were distributed to farmers.
