Vasant Utsav
Vasant Utsav will be celebrated by the Rilbong Sports & Cultural Club in association with Gitanjali Dance Academy, Shillong, in a vibrant cultural event that will take place at Rilbong ground at 10.30 am on Friday. A total of 100 students will begin a celebratory procession from Gitanjali Dance Academy, Bishnupur, at 9.30 am till Rilbong ground on the day. The event will showcase vibrant performances of Indian classical dance, music, and traditional art forms, celebrating the essence of spring and cultural harmony.

All private sector establishments in East Khasi Hills have been directed by the Deputy Commissioner to constitute the ‘Internal Complaints Committee’ under Section 4 (1) of “The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013” and to submit a report to the DC’s office by March 20, 2025, failing which action may be taken under Section 26 of the Act, wherein penalty is envisaged when an employer fails to constitute the Internal Committee.
